    Hi there,

Jellyfin will play a folder of photos automatically, but not one with videos, where I manually have to return to root and select the next clip.

A solution is to make a playlist of the files in the folder. But once further clips are added, the playlist does not reflect the content and a new playlist has to be generated.

    Is there something I'm missing?

    Thanks in advance.

The home photos and videos library is pretty lack luster and neglected. If your use of Jellyfin is mainly for home photos and videos, you'd probably have better luck with another app.

I am happy with watching movies and shows in Jellyfin. But I also have photos and video clips of my own making.

You may still want to check out other apps for that particular use case.

The home videos/photos library, as I said, is jank. I gave it a try a while ago and gave up. There was no rhyme or reason that I could find that some photos and videos even appeared and why others didn't.
