Playback Error

Hello, I am new to this program and tried setting it up on my old pc to hopefully use as a server for later. However, when I went to test the imported media, I was given the error:

Playback Error A fatal error was encountered in the HLS stream.

Anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this? From the looks of it, it appears to try and read the .mp4 file as a .png file or something like that.
