Hi so I’ve been using Jellyfin for just over a month now and had no issues watching content on my Sony TV through the app but the last 2 days I keep getting playback errors and “too many errors giving up” coming up when I’m playing videos. The videos are all part of series that I have gotten from the same source and all the videos I’ve watched previously have been fine. They also seem to play on my PC fine, but if I do it through the app it doesn’t.
Running through Truenas scale, no dedicated GPU.
The current videos are 1080p but I managed to watch a 4k film earlier no problem.
Just looking for some advice (I’m very new to this sort of thing and so please talk to me like I’m stupid! Haha)

Can you share your jellyfin and ffmpeg logs with us? Upload them to an external site like pastebin or sourcebin.

    Hello,
Below are 3 logs - the normal log, and 2 ffmpeg logs (one from tv and one from iphone i believe!)

    https://pastebin.com/FkFaFf2N - normal log
    https://pastebin.com/1wsZa3H9 - ffmpeg log iphone
    https://pastebin.com/ZirMNB4q - ffmpeg log (tv)

Just to add a bit more context the videos play for about 14:17 and then stop playing on the devices, i tried again on my PC this morning and it did the same thing so it isn't just a device issue.
It might just be corrupt files (but seems strange the other files from the same source work fine but the last 2 haven't)

Can you double check the folder and file permissions on your library? Lots of errors saying that ffprobe failed.

    How do I do that?
When I check under permissions on the share dataset it has full read, write and execute permissions.

Edit: I’ve logged into the share using windows and edited the user permissions there to see if it makes a difference

You are using Docker, correct? Can you share your docker compose with us? Or the docker command?

I'm using Truenas Scale, which I believe had docker built in.
But I dont know how to show the commands?
I'm sorry, i'm very new to this and trying to learn it as I go along.
https://pastebin.com/WviVeT9i - this is the container log, not sure if this will help.

There should be a UI with all the volumes you mounted in the container and other settings.

This is the only thing i've got with any settings in it.
I can provide a screenshot if needed but it would have to be multiple to fit it all in so pasted it to pastebin.

Does user ID "3000" own/have permissions the container's config directory and your library?
