hello - TOTAL NEWBIE just getting started here.
when I first installed jellyfin, I pointed the data to D:\media\
then I created a couple of libraries, I pointed to D:\media\videofileOne, D:\media\videofileTwo\ and everything worked just fine.
later, I created a third library that I just pointed to D:\media\ with no subdirectories, since there was already several media files there.
this new library seemed to create all sorts of issues. so I removed jellyfin and reinstalled it.
upon thinking about it, I realize I should not have created a library at the jellyfin "root" library. but I am wondering if jellyfin might want to block that sort of thing from happening again in a future release.
or maybe I am the first one to ever do something so foolish? (it was not the first time I did something dumb I assure you, just first with jellyfin)
