I have recently returned to my Jellyfin setup after leaving it off for months while i was gone. My setup uses a Debian based container in Proxmox that passes through an AMD rx 480 to it. I setup the passthrough before and it was working but now I’m noticing artifacting everywhere when transcoding. If i turn encoding off, it functions correctly but as soon as i use VAAPI and enable encoding the video acts almost like it’s not able to keep up. Using radeontop I do see that the GPU is being used and definitley not heavily and the logs dont show any errors. Probably important to mention this is a docker compose setup as well. I honestly cant remember every setting i messed with during setup, but I’ve been searching for a few hours and messing with settings and and I cant get it to smooth out. Would love any suggestions or help troubleshooting this!
