Too bad 10.11.0 did not resolve EPG collecting problem. I have not tested for myself. It was broke when I first setup Jellyfin about a year ago. I'm running it on a RPI 5 with Debian and have been happy with it. I too, had to learn what XMLTV and it's grabbers even were. I have a moderate level in shell scripting which proved to be very usefull. I read so much garbage on the internet. I was able to write a script to update my EPG data using crontab job.
Now, here's the secret I just don't see mentioned here: ChatGPT
I now have knowlege I would have spent countless hours on the internet to find. And it's help in refining my scripts has been amazing. Just having an idea of what you want is enough. Be sure to help it zero in on the answers you want. Provide all specifics you can: hardware you use, OS you have on it, anything you have done so far (installed Jellyfin, path names you use for it like /pimedia for external media drive. etc) You'll see it giving answers that can be more specific, and all you have to do is tell it the missing specifics.
Have fun, I did.
I added a PDF of the email I receive when this thing runs. Yeah, I'm bragging a bit, but most of the credit goes to ChatGPT
