Should I use Intel CPU with HD Graphics or more powerful AMD CPU without graphics ?

Hello

I actually own a server with Intel CPU including HD graphics (P 630) and I'm looking to upgrade for more powerful AMD Ryzen CPU who does not come with HD graphics.

Do Jellyfin use HD graphics or only physical GPU (Hardware Acceleration) ?

Would not be worth it it does.

Jellyfin can utilize either an integrated or dedicated GPU for transcoding. Upgrading to an AMD chip without an integrated or dedicated GPU would actually result in a downgrade for your server. Intel HD integrated GPUs or a dedicated Intel Arc card are your best options.

After checking Hardware Acceleration is set to "None" in Transcoding section

For what I understand there is no Intel HD graphics driver installed on my server, so if I upgrade to AMD Ryzen it wont be "downgrading" performance for Jellyfin streaming.

What specific CPU model do you have installed? AFAICT, the P630 is in Kaby Lake based Xeon workstation CPUs and they should have Intel Quick Sync.

Based on the "server name" in your screenshot, I am assuming this is not a device you physically own but are renting. If this is the case, they are likely not making the GPU available to your VM.
