Emby, Kodi has single Click Startup.

Please give Jellyfin single click startup, without auto start set for the Server.

The ability to just launch the Jellyfin Media Player and have it start the server would be great.

Can you elaborate on this? Generally speaking, the server is running all the time.

When I turn on my PC none of the Media Centre Servers are running or commence running.

Jellyfin Server does not start when I turn on the PC because I have not selected Auto Start.

To use Jellyfin I have to manually start the server, then start the Jellyfin Media Player.

With Emby and Kodi I just click them and view my media,

Wouldn't your issue be solved by selecting the auto start feature to be enabled?

Or am I misunderstanding something? Does your setup not have this feature? Or do you not want to run Jellyfin 24/7?

I don't want all my media Centre Servers to turn on when I turn on my PC

The CPU has enough to do without running servers unnecessary.

Most Media Centres like Kodi do start their server as soon as you open Kodi, and the server still runs when you close Kodi.

Similar with Jellyfin if you select Auto Start then the server runs as soon as you turn on the PC., when you close Jellyfin Media Player it does not turn off the server.

Me Human!, I like to tell dumb PC Machines what to do!, I don't want the PC to just turn on things, AI will start doing thing soon, and may decide that dumb humans that are always killing each other should be eliminated!

Kodi does not use a server+client model at all so that’s not at all the same.

Sorry I don't know anything about Computers
I wish Kodi had a display like Plex, Emby, Jellyfin

When I close Kodi, I have looked in Task Manager (control+Alt+delete) and noticed that Kodi shows still, but it must mean that it there but not running.
Computers are a mystery to me, they never do what i want them to do.

You have to bring up what OS you're talking about, otherwise people will get confused at some point. Right now, it's easy to guess you're talking about some version of Windows.

In Windows' task manager, there will be a green leaf next to any process that's open but no running (sleep). Otherwise, you should assume they're always running.
