Skipping forward and back

I am a long time Emby user thinking of making the jump to Jellyfin. One minor issue that I can't seem to figure out is that when using Emby, pressing the right button on the Nvidia Shield remote will immediately skip forwards and the left button backwards, but on the Jellyfin client, it pauses the video and shows the progress bar where one can move forwards and backwards and then press the select button to continue.

Is there a way to get Jellyfin to emulate the same behavior as Emby i.e. the immediate skipping forwards/backwards?

This is the current behavior and is not currently configurable, but it is on the dev's to-do to make it configurable.
