Hello everyone,
I recently started my Jellyfin Media Server and am since been testing to find the best result that'll satisfy my inner monk.
Since I am a native German speaker the preferred language of the Jellyfin GUI is German as well. At this point shoutout to the people doing the localisation!
There is only one thing that seems to not work properly, which is the selection dropdown menu of audio and subtitle tracks. As far as I understood, the shown title of a track is constructed from track metadata like name, e.g. "Surround 5.1" or "Stereo", the language code, codec and possible flags.
A typical generated track name would be "Surround 5.1 - German - Dolby Digital - Default" which is fine except for the fact that "German" is not translated to "Deutsch" (same for "English" not being "Englisch", etc.). An example of this German GUI / English track title is given as an attachment
Not a huge problem, but since the rest of the GUI is translated I'd like to have the selection translated as well.
Does anybody know a fix for that? Or is that not possible at the moment and hence more of a feature request?
Best regards.
Jellyfin 10.9.7 is running as a Docker container drawing the latest image via the "Container Manager" of my Synology NAS with DSM 7.2.1
