Nope, didn't help.
It is rather curious how the delay has been EXACTLY 90seconds twice now...

Can you submit a github issue? And provide your debug log from the previous post.

Okay thanks.

Turns out it's a write performance issue on the datastore/TrueNAS. Turned off dedup and sync and switched to NFS (as ESXi has destroyed the vmfs partition table twice during testing...).

So on github, they sent me back here.
Does anybody have an idea on how to proceed? I have replaced sixth season of of BBT theory with 1080p files. Right now those files don't want to load at all even after 90s. Other shows and movies still keep the 90s delay. Although I notice that the Scan Media Library task is hanging at 96% for days. I have changed the way I mount the media over NFS... and indeed, while trying to unmount the media, the music files were busy so I'm assuming that this is where the scan library task is hanging for some reason. Which should have nothing to do with playing tv show files.

Turn off real time monitoring if the media is on an NFS share. If you are using TVDB as your sole metadata source, try switching to TMDB. TVDB has a much much lower API rate limit.

I have replaced the files yet again and now it plays instantaneously.
I think there are some codecs or filetypes i just doesn't like... |
