Split multiple music artists by "feat."?

Hey everyone,

in the past, I think it was possible with Jellyfin to automatically split multiple artists in a music library by the string "feat.". So, a file tagged with "Eminem feat. His Mother" did automatically create the artists "Eminem" and "His Mother".

This does not seem to work anymore on 10.10.7 and also not on the latest 10.11 RC4. I tested with clean installations. I can see in the code that there is still a function to split on "feat." and it is even executed, but the result is not regarded for the actual music database storage. Is this intended, or is this a bug? I have read multiple Github issues regarding splitting artists, but I was a bit confused by it.

I know about the option to configure custom separators, but those are single characters and you cannot define "feat." as custom separator, right?

I installed 10.9.11 from scratch and tested with that. That version properly splits artists on "feat.", so this seems to be a bug in 10.10.x.

hey super new to forums and jellyfin. my music library is a mess and jellyfin has no idea what to do with it. i tried using musicbranz but it put songs made by multiple artist into its own section, basically seeing the multiple artist all as 1 artist and now that musicbrainz has sorted all wonky i dont even know what to do. any ideas or help would be super appreciated.
