I'm reopening this thread because the issue is still happening — playlists disappear immediately after Jellyfin performs a library scan.
The last thing I mentioned was that I was planning to test with a fresh install on another machine, but I wasn’t able to complete it properly since I’m not entirely sure how to migrate Jellyfin without losing any data. I’d like to preserve all users, watch history, configurations, and collections/library's.
Before opening a new post specifically about how to do a full Jellyfin-to-Jellyfin migration, I’d like to continue gathering info here to try and fix the root issue. If you need any logs or want me to test anything specific, just let me know and I’ll provide it.

Quick summary:
- I’ve tried reinstalling multiple Jellyfin versions.
- The issue has been happening for about a year now.
- It’s being tracked on GitHub, but there’s no fix yet: https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/issues/12008
- The playlist file remains in the pc folder after a library scan, but Jellyfin no longer recognizes it.
- Permissions are correct, and everything else works perfectly.
- The "clean up collections and playlists" task is not the cause — I’ve already confirmed that.
