Swiftfin iOS - why is it that higher number in settings means smaller subtitles?

Was trying to make the subs smaller and noticed the size range is between 8 and 24. 
Was struggling to make the subs smaller as they were very big at size 8. Played around with the settings and found out size 24 is the smallest and size 8 is the biggest. 

Is this normal, or a bug?

Tried googling and searching the forum but couldn’t find anything related to this.
