    Hi.

I have an old Denon avr2310 surround receiver.
It plays DD with no problems from jellyfin.
This is through an Nvidia shield where I have Jellyfin app installed.
    I use unRAID 6.12.10 and Jellyfin 10.9.11.

Not many of my movies are DD.
    They are DTS and better.

Is there a way for Jellyfin to transcode only the audio so I can play e.g. DTS and other formats as DD and have real surround on my receiver?

    Please bare with me Smiling-face.

    Thanks in advance

Most clients, AFAIK, won't request audio transcodes to DD or DTS. The one exception, to my knowledge, is Jellyfin Media Player.

Having said that, as long as your have the audio output setting in the Jellyfin app on your shield to "direct" it should transcode audio to AAC and however many channels the source audio had. Android TV will just convert it to LPCM with a matching number of channels.
