If the trickplay interval is set to 10000 ms then should it not create an image every 10 seconds. When watching a movie each image moves\created is 4 seconds for me.

Did you enable "Only generate images from key frames"?

No I did not enable it. I enabled it with image interval 10000 but the images now are every 2 seconds. At least before it was 4 seconds.

Can you share your Jellyfin logs? Or find a trickplay log so we can see the parameters used in the ffmpeg command?

What are you seeing that tells you that the interval is shorter? The ffmpeg command does have it set to 0.1 FPS (1 frame every 10 seconds).

AFAICT, regardless of the keyframe setting, when I hover my mouse over the timeline I only see one new image every 10 seconds.

On the video itself (timeline) when I am scrolling or hovering through the thumbnails are showing these times. Originally it was a thumbnail every 4 seconds (timestamps) when scrolling through the video then it was 2 seconds for each thumbnail once I enabled the Only generate images from keyframes.

I can wipe all the trickplays out and re-run it to see if it changes.
