I have dozens of TV show episodes with 'Christmas' in their title but searching Christmas in Jellyfin does not bring up any TV shows.

I can confirm it is happening on PC (192.168.7.12:8096) and on the Android phone app.

    Any ideas?

What version of Jellyfin are you running?  On 10.10.3 episode names are searched.  Are you running an older version of Jellyfin?

    Jellyfin 10.10.7 (Docker)
    Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS w/HWE
    Intel i3 12100
    Intel Arc A380
    OS drive - SK Hynix P41 1TB
    Storage
4x WD Red Pro 6TB CMR in RAIDZ1

I was running server v10.10.1. I forgot Jellyfin cannot automatically update like Plex and Emby do, or at least notify you 😑

I updated to server v10.10.3 (Web and build still show v10.10.1) a few minutes ago and, so far, including after clicking 'Scan All Libraries', search still is not working for TV shows.

    Any ideas?

Can you show me how one of these episode looks in the Jellyfin UI?  As long as Jellyfin is properly retrieving metadata and populating the episode title fields, it should search for them.

If none of the metadata fields are populated, I don't think it will find it by the file name.

    Here are two examples:

Initiate a full library scan, once that finishes search for "Christmas", then share the log via pastebin.

While you're doing the search, can you open the browser console and look for any messages that stand out in the console feed?

I hope it is ok, but I have PM'd you the log as I am not sure what is really contains and would rather it not be public.

I am not sure what to look for when it comes to Chrome's console feed, unfortunately.

There is nothing in your log that indicates there is a problem.....weird.

If there was an error it would be highlighted in red.

Can you try "replace all metadata" on one of the libraries you know has a "Christmas" episode?

I replaced the metadata for everything in the 'TV shows' library (apart from images) and so far, same issue.
