Hi,
first time updating Jellyfin after setting it up a few months ago.
I'm on trueNAS, running jellyfin in a jail.
I made the mistake of not stopping the container. I just hit update and it did its thing. However, now I cannot connect anymore it seems.
I also don't exactly now how to debug this. Where can I find the logs? I tried /var/logs/ but I can't find anything useful...
Any help or advice?
Update:
I was able to locate various configuration files.
It is in /var/db/jellyfin/
I tried changing the IgnoreVirtualInterface parameter inside of the network.xml file as recommended here: https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/issues/11715
I saved the changes, restarted the jail, but it didn't help.
I'll continue. I'll look for logfiles now. that thread from github looked promising, so I tried that before.
Update:
So the logs are in /var/db/jellyfin/log/ but today's log file ends just before I did the update. no more entries afterwards... so it doesn't seem to be doing anything right now
Update:
I just realized that I should have posted this into the Troubleshooting section but I can't delete or move the thread...
Update:
i think the main mistake was not stopping the container before I started the update...
I'm thinking that a fresh install will be the easiest and most time-saving...
