Are you able to open one of the images in the temp directory to see what they are?

FYI, if these image are trickplays and not something like posters, there is a PR to possibly fix this. One of the devs found an edge case that could still leave files in the temp directory on certain kinds of failures. But they're not sure the failure you're seeing fits into that edge case.

10.10.2 was released with the mentioned ffmpeg fix. Let us know if this issue is still not resolved.
