    Evening,

Recently i made the upgrade to Debian 13 from 12 and for the most part it went smoothly and since then i have started to use Wayland as my preferred Window Manager on KDE Plasma 6.3.6. My experience with the Jellyfin Media Player has been quite rough since switching to Trixie, i made sure to upgrade my Jellyfin application from Bookworm to the Trixie version and i noticed on every Show/Movie/VOD, it doesn't matter if it's transcoding or direct playing, will always fail to load the video on the first attempt, sometimes second, third and fourth as well, and only displays a black screen and content audio.

This has become so frustrating, I've been through numerous forums and reading other people experiencing similar issues but they're typically outdated and not relevant to Trixie in particular, i felt like I've been through every setting the Jellyfin Media Player has to offer.

I also happened to delete the ~/.local/share/jellyfinmediaplayer/ and ~/.local/share/Jellyfin Media Player/ folders - purged the jellyfin media player with apt, reinstalled as suggest on this post (https://forum.jellyfin.org/t-solved-audi...dia-player) but so far no luck.

Side note 1) Also noticed heavier CPU/GPU/Memory usage from Jellyfin but I'm less worried about that compared to the consistent blackscreens.

Side note 2) No other devices experience this issue, only my desktop does.

    Side note 3) Happens on 4k & 1080p content

Wayland is still very new, so you can't expect everything just to work properly with Wayland.
I would recommend you to use X11 for time being, if you want a production stable experience.
