    Hi, I know how to uninstall the plugin in the dashboard, but as for removing all of the extracted subtitles, can I just safely delete this folder?

    /Users/username/Docker/jellyfin/config/data/data/subtitles

    Is there any kind of de-linking I have to do? To unlink the media from these extracted subtitles? Or does uninstalling the plugin accomplish that?

    Thanks!

    I don't have the extract subtitles plugin installed, but I do believe I have that same subtitle folder. I wouldn't delete it in case Jellyfin needs it. I would just delete the subs and leave the folder behind.

    From my understanding, the subtitles from that plugin may be stored in "config/metadata/library".

    The plugin doesn’t store subtitles, it just instructions Jellyfin to extract subtitles instead of waiting for playback.

    I wouldn’t remove the folder as the paths are likely stored in the database.

    @crobibero

    Thanks for your response. So if it doesn't store subtitles, why is that folder taking up 13.8 GB of space? I really can't get rid of these subtitles? It's taking up much more room on my small SSD than I anticipated. Or did you mean I could delete the subtitles but keep the subtitles folder, as @Efficient_Good_5784 suggested?

    As a last resort, I could mount this folder to an external HDD...But I'll await your response. Thanks.

    That folder is "unrelated" to the plugin. Jellyfin (without the plugin) would eventually build that folder.

    The entire point of the plugin is to tell the server to not wait until playback to extract so playback is smoother.
    I don't know how Jellyfin will react if the files that it extracted no longer exist.

    @crobibero

    Okay, thanks. I guess I'll just have to mount that folder to an external HDD or something.
