Have you tried any HDR content? SDR content works fine, on HDR i get an error every time:
Playback Error: This client isn't compatible with the media and the server isn't sending a compatible media format.
With following error in logs:
VAAPI driver doesn't support HDR
So how do you play back HDR using Jellyfin? What settings to change or is it not possible at all?

I have not ventured into any HDR (High Dynamic Range?) content.
Does this also require an HDR capable screen, I would think?

what exactly would jellyfin-server use a display of any kind for? it's not going to render anything, it's not going to accelerate anything
