I had the Xbox app on my One S and can see my JF server and log in but trying to select any category and the app just crashed to the Xbox dashboard. Is this app dead?
The Xbox app has been dead for a while, is my understanding. You could probably continue to use it if you downgraded your server version, but that is not ideal, obviously, since most other clients require newer server versions.

Looking for a dead simple option to share my server with someone remotely and be able to jointly watch and chat. Haven't seen any other system, save for a PC running Windows, that can be this simple.
All are options just adds complication. Going through Xbox you have chat easily setup and operating a (working) app all in one place, one controller, one system connected to a TV. Can have Xbox Live games as well but don't actually need Gold to just use chat and JF. But if development has died then I'll look for an alternative.
