Xbox series X -unable to connect to the selected server

OK follow-up questions.

What version is your server running, The last release 10.8.13 or earlier?

Is there a more recent version/update of the app?

I've tried testing the app and it sees my server fine (10.8.13) but crashes when trying to play anything.

The server is running version 10.8.13 on a mac mini M2. 
I did not mentionned that is working on every other clients (web browser, android TV, iOS app) from inside and outside my LAN via https.

Hi there, just checking in to see if this is on the radar to be fixed? i have the same issue on my xbox one x. when logging in with local ip address or https://domainname i get the same cannot connect error. i have a couple of android devices connecting in ok, and the web interface on a windows laptop no issues.

According to https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-uwp/issues/36, the fixes are waiting on either anthonylavado to publish to MS, or Microsoft to accept the changes and push it out. Unfortunate, I have users waiting on the fix too.

I read in another thread using the browser on xbox works pretty well as a workaround until this is fixed.

Hello forum, do we know when this will be resolved I am getting an Unexpected Application Error!

did an uninstall of the Xbox app and reinstalled it still getting the same error  

Can use the Xbox browser getting playback error
