Hi
I don't know if this subject has allready been discussed, I tried to look for it but didn't find anything.
To my knowledge, jellyfin can identify a movie from filename (e.g: movie name (year).mkv)
Well I also want to organise my files and look at it outside of jellyfin.
So for exemple, if I transcode some Marvel movies from DVD and wanted to class them by story order and not release order.
I would like to name them like this :
So "MCU" group them together, the number class them, and the title and date help you identify which movie it is.
But if I do that jellyfin won't reconise which film it is even if the "Title" and "Release date" in the metadata are written.
I told jellyfin to "prefer embedded titles over filenames" but it has not effect on identifying movies.
Could it be possible to force jellyfin to identify movies from embedded metadata ?
What are your thought on this question ?
Sorry about my english, it is not my mother tongue.
I which you all a good day
