Since it doesn't seem like jellyfin would fix this issue for older Samsung TVs (and until the tizen version is on the Samsung store), I was thinking for running a second instance of jellyfin just for the TV, so I won't be stuck with an old version for the other clients.
Is it possible to have both jellyfin servers use the same metadata folder and only have separate config folders for the DB? (my media folder is on a NAS and it shared and read only) - I just rather not duplicate the metadata folder as it is pretty large.
Since the metadata is under config. I'm not sure how I can I do that (I am running jellyfin on docker)
(I don't mind if the watched/continue watching won't be in sync)
Is this workaround going to work? and how do I do re-use only the metadata folder?
Thanks.
