I recall seeing an issue where Jellyfin (or the backend media player) didn't correctly apply a transparency, but that was with ASS subs. But it could be the same underlying issue.
It may be worth testing if this problem exists with this particular movie with unstable. Since you are already running docker, make a second docker container with identical parameters but a different config path and using the "unstable" tag instead of "latest".
