Hello everyone, new Jellyfin user here.
I'd like to watch some 4k HDR movies but I have some problems with my setup.
My Jellyfin server runs in a docker container on a separate host in my home lan. I'm trying to use my OLED HDR monitor to watch movies and I installed Jellyfin client for windows 10 (with HDR enabled in the Desktop's S.O. options) but it's all grey and washed out.
So I've found this thread https://forum.jellyfin.org/t-4k-hdr-client and installed the Shim Mpv you suggested (and mpv player too, I don't know if that was needed too or if Jellyfin client has it's own mpv binary). The strange thing is that even if the quality seems sligtly increased with Mpv player casted by Jellyfin client, it's still too too washed out and, most of all, it's not nearly as good as opening the mkv files directly with my local installed Mpv (or even VLC) player where I can appreciate the high contrast of the OLED panel and the HDR quality of lights.
What could be the cause? I suspect that the Mpv player used by shim has different settings (I've not changed the default ones) than the ones used by the standalone Mpv player. Am I wrong?
Thank you in advance for any suggestion.
