    Hi,
I'm new to the forum and my English isn't very good, but I hope you'll understand what I mean.

I wanted to ask how you watch content from your own servers. I always thought that the main purpose of such servers was to have an app on a TV and watch movies that way. However, I see that in the case of a Jellyfin server, the Android TV app is quite weak and significantly inferior to web-based solutions, where you can customize the appearance with skins.

Maybe I don't fully understand the idea behind Jellyfin—are there better ways to watch your own movies?

Weak is probably not the right word to describe the Android TV app. Yes, it lacks customizability (for now), but it is a native client with a TV centric UI design. Since the customization in the web UI is CSS based, obviously you cannot apply that to a native Android app.

I have 2 Android TV clients and a Roku client. My friends and family have a mis-mash of Android TV and Roku clients, in addition to all of us having Android phones.

    Many ways to watch.
