I just installed Jellyfin, mostly to see what I think. Plex has been in action for years. I have all my media set up and named to make Plex happy, and I'm already seeing some issues with Jellyfin being unhappy with the same naming/organization.
First issue I've noticed is multiple versions of a movie. For instance, 1080 and 4k versions are shown as one movie in Plex with an option to select the version to play, whereas in Jellyfin, it's shown as two separate movies.
With different movie Editions, Plex will show them separately, but with the edition name below the title, like "Extended Edition." Jellyfin just shows the same title twice and there's no direct way to tell which is which without checking the Media Info (or running time in the case of extended editions).
So, I guess the question is, can you make both happy without having multiple copies of the movies with different naming schemes?
