    Hello,

I just installed Jellyfin and are having problems with media scanning. For instance I have ripped my bluray of Battlestar Galactica 1978, but when Jellyfin scans the folder, it think that it's the newer series from 2004. Also a bunch of non identified files are shown. I have include two screenshots. One is the folder content and the other is what Metadata Manager says. How can i make sure it gets scanned correctly?

    Regards,
    Damien

Best way is to rename your files from S01E01-E03 - Saga of a Star World.mkv to Battlestar Galactica 1978 S01E01-E03 - Saga of a Star World.mkv. Always best to keep seasons in separate folders (Season 1, Season 2, etc.). You can also try selecting "Identify" from the Show's hamburger menu (3 vertical dots), enter the show's name & year & the correct series should come up. Do you have the TVdB plugin installed ? I've had good results with it. TVmaze is also good.
    Hope this helps,
    JJ
