More demo music on demo server?

Hi there, I'm one of the devs of Finamp and wanted to ask if we could get some more demo music on the hosted demo backend?
Right now there's a total of two albums, three songs all-in-all.  
Looking at the demo for Subsonic (http://demo.subsonic.org/index.view), they have 48 albums and at least 40 songs (the interface is really hard to navigate so I couldn't figure out how many songs there really are lol).

It would be nice if we could have something comparable for Jellyfin. This would make the demo much nicer, it might make debugging a bit easier (if everyone is using the same media source), and we could (hopefully) use the content to make our app screenshots more appealing.

I know it's hard to find music without any copyright that could be used for demo purposes, but I'm guessing that Subsonic has the same problem, so their demo media should probably work?

I'm definitely OK with this, the problem is as you said getting freely available freely distributable content. We could certainly add more from the artist we use (Binaerpilot, great electronic musician out of Norway).

The problem with grabbing what's on the Subsonic demo server is that *they* might have a license to use it, but we might not. But we can certainly look around.

That would be great! Anything helps, really! Of course some diversity would be good (different styles of album art, mix of instrumental and vocal tracks for testing the new lyrics stuff, different base loudnesses to test the volume normalization, etc.), but we can get there little by little.

How is the process for getting the permissions from artists like Binärpilot? Do they have some free-to-use license, or did you contact them directly?

I have a half dozen songs I've made over the years that I can provide and give full permission to Jellyfin to use.

I believe for Binärpilot we received explicit permission. For some of the app stores we have to provide documentation that we have rights to the content on the server.

Explicit permission just for the three tracks that are there, or their music in general? Also, if 1hitsong want to provide their music I'm sure they'd be willing to give written permission as well

i'm new here, but i've got an album by my son and his band mates when they were in high school. i don't mind 'donating' it to your efforts with full permission to use.
