We are pleased to announce the latest stable release of Jellyfin, version 10.10.4!

This minor release brings several bugfixes to improve your Jellyfin experience.

As always, please ensure you stop your Jellyfin server and take a full backup before upgrading!

You can find the full changelogs on the GitHub releases for the server repository and the web repository.

Release prepared with <3 by @joshuaboniface, the rest of the Jellyfin team, and contributors like you.

    Happy watching!

Jellyfin Media Player on windows acting a bit wonky. At least a cache clear is needed.

Jellyfin LGTV app does not work with photos since I cannot remember. All photos show blank screen.
Wonder why nobody is fixing it and many people having this problem. Its disappointing.

I know the client and server development are generally separated, which brings a lot of benefits to the project, but are there any plans to dedicate a fraction of developer time to the official Jellyfin Media Player Client? It seems to only get updates when it is completely broken, like when 10.9 was released. There have been 7 closed PR's in the past 6 months. Having to clear the cache after updates is not optimal for normal users. It would be nice to get an update once every few months, or at least see some additional development.

Nice thing about LG TV is that I can use the browser and it works 100%. My other TV is Android and ohh boy the Jellyfin app on android is like you should not even have one since its horrible.
Best apps is probably Roku. Nothing else works good with Music/Photos/Movies and Live TV. But you need to cover it all if you call it Media Server.
Sorry for the bad review but I am just being honest.

My understanding is that JMP development is currently focused on migrating from QT5 to QT6. QT6 is significantly different than QT5 and has been a difficult learning curve.  Because of this, development has been slow.  This is in addition to the, essentially, sole developer having other life obligations that has reduced the amount of time she can commit to JMP development.

Hey, that's news at least. Thank you for sharing DreadPirate, and thank you for all the support you provide on the forum.

No, QT is only one blocker and cannot be resolved in the near future because QT6 basically breaks the whole way JMP player is programed with. You have to rewrite the player code and nobody has interest in doing that yet. JMP is in maintenance only update for years and is struggling to keep up with server. It is still our official client only because there is no alternatives available. If there is someone want to pick it up or there is something good enough we can just make JMP in archive state and tell people to "use this instead".

Just echoing, it would be really nice if JMP could get some additional love from the developer community but it's fairly niche despite being so popular. So, open call for contributors - either to it or to another cross-platform Desktop client.
