New user here migrating from years of Plex. Like many (I suspect) got tired of the Plex bloat and focus on non personal/local content. Experience so far has been very good so thanks to the community! A few questions. Googled around first with no answers. TIA.

    1. Is the JF Home supposed to show a resume section for Music? There is this setting but the section does not show up for me nor do any audio tracks appear in it.
    2. Are TV theme songs supposed to play on the Mac client if that Display option is checked? Not working for me. Does this require adding (automatically?) local metadata mp3 files to each Show?

There should be. In the client settings for the web UI, go to the "Home" tab. In any of the sections, there should be an option for you to chose to display "Continue Listening".

Yes.... if you have the theme song files and enabled the client display setting for theme songs.

Here's how the theme songs work:
    1. Get an audio file
    2. Rename it to "theme.mp3"
    3. Move the "theme.mp3" file the show/movie folder
    4. In Jellyfin, rescan the show/movie
    5. Theme song should now play when you open the show/movie view

Theme songs support depends per client.
From my understanding, the only client that supports it right now are those that use Jellyfin's web UI (web browser, Android phone app, iPhone app, Jellyfin Media Player).
So clients like the Android TV client won't play them currently as they use their own UI.

As for automatically getting theme songs, I believe there was a user plugin that did this, but I don't know if it's still maintained.

Actually, I've never seen a "resume listening" for music. Only for audio books.

3rd party apps like Finamp (beta only) and Symfonium are able to store the state of playback and your shuffle seed when you re-open the app on your phone.
