Switch to 10.8.13. Lots of important security fixes and some clients require 10.8.10+.

Also, if you have Android or Android TV clients, DO NOT UPGRADE PAST THE CURRENT VERSION. 2.6.1 for Android and 0.16.11 for Android TV. Future versions will require 10.9.

As to your question about drive mapping. On plain Linux systems, your user would be UID and GID 1000. But that may not be the case for QNAP. Make sure you are using the correct UID/GID and that your UID/GID has permissions to the folders being used.

Oh, I had just edited my previous post.

I got it all to work! The only thing missing is that I expected the port to be remapped from 8092 to 32666 but it seems I can access the web interface on 8092 and not 32666. Minor and I will not worry about that (even though if you know why it would be interesting to know).

Thanks for explaining the version I need to use. Already switched to it!

I hope QNAP update their driver so I can use the latest version of Jellyfin! I have opened a case for it with them!

MAny thanks for the massive help!
