Post your full server logs. Ensure the logs show a server restart, then scan a library, and play a file.

I think these are the correct files?

Jellyfin can't find this path. Did you remove or rename it? You can try removing it from your library and then re-adding it. Post updated server logs when you do.

Yes actually I added a new drive and I must have forgot to change it in my library.

I've corrected that but movies still won't play on my tv. I can see them playing in the dashboard though. I don't get it. What has happened? It was working fine a few months ago.

I've attached the most recent logs. I had to compress one because its too large. I used 7Zip if that makes any difference?

It looks like there’s an issue on your server that’s causing FFmpeg to transcode the subtitle files, which is leading to these errors.
Can you try setting up a new instance?
    1. Shut down Jellyfin.
    2. Go to C:\ProgramData\Jellyfin and rename the "Server" folder to "Server_original."
    3. Restart Jellyfin. This will essentially give you a fresh installation.
    4. You’ll need to create a new admin account and set up your libraries again.
    5. Afterward, test it on your TV to see if the issue persists.
Your original data is still there you would just need to delete the new "Server" folder and then restore the backup folder.

Your original data is still there you would just need to delete the new "Server" folder and then restore the backup folder.

I'm having trouble doing that. I clicked shutdown and then renamed the folder. Upon doing that I'm locked out from being able to load the server and create a new account.

I renamed it back to "Server" so I could load it and make a new account. But that has the same problem as my original account.

I also shutdown the server by exiting via the systray icon but it made no difference.

How can I make a new account from scratch? When I rename the folder it keeps on blocking me with this error:

We're unable to connect to the selected server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again.

I've got that error everytime but usually I just attempt it two or three times and it works. But now renaming the folder it won't let me load it.

When you switch servers, the old server gets stored in the cache. You need to click on the Server icon select delete (this only deletes it from the browser cache), then browse the root URL directory: http://localhost:8096

Can I just keep the newly generated library?

By restoring the backup folder wouldn't I be back at square one? Loading the old library?

Wouldn't restoring the backup folder create a mish mash of data?

I've created a new server and added all the libraries again. Same issue. Still won't play on tv but I can see it play in the dashboard.

There are a lot of issues with ffmpeg. It can't extract subtitles, can't transcode, can't remux. If I had to guess, Jellyfin/ffmpeg doesn't have write access to the app directory (C:\ProgramData\Jellyfin).
