Hello all
In my many builds of Jellyfin server and client, I just became aware of a small issue in the managing playlists.
I listen to all my music from playlists and i create them based upon my moods or situations.
I come to realise that when i want to delete tracks from the playlist the track is also deleted from the underlying folder on my nas
I would agree that listening to an artist, album or genre a deletion of a track from the NAS in this case is correct
However
When adding a song to a playlist the track should be included in a playlist as a place holder (reference location) for the file.
Therefore a deletion of the track in the playlist should delete the place holde and not the physical track.
A track may me added to several playlists.
Therefore the deletion of a track in one playlist should not delete the track from the NAS or from the other playlists
I hope this this is considered as a constructive and added value comment
Thank you for your great work
