SOLVED: Jellyfin will not work on fresh install.

On install, jellyfin will not work. Connecting to the website will only time out.

Hey all, I've been trying to install Jellyfin on my Debian 12 machine, but I haven't been able to get it working. When installed, everything works fine on the server side. Systemctl says its enabled and running, logs say that everything works fine, but when I try to access it on my web browser, it times out no matter what I do.

I've tried reinstalling, restarted services, rebooted my server, none of it works. Logs even point to it just completely working entirely, but there's still no web output.

    Here's my specs:

    OS: Debian 13
    CPU: AMD FX-4300
    GPU: AMD Radeon RX 460
    Memory: 16GB

Jellyfin was installed using the shell installer and is NOT being used through a docker container.

    Logs: https://pastebin.com/XHUATEfS

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

    You server is running.
The only explanation is either :
    1. Firewall blocking (what's the state of ufw on the server ????)
    2. You dont specify the right port.

Make sure you clear your browser cache before accessing the server in your browser

Oh my god, it was the firewall. Never had a firewall issue when installing this on other systems (didn't even know firewalld was enabled), so this was new to me.

I just allowed ports 8096/tcp, 8920/tcp, and 7359/udp through firewalld and it all went through smoothly. Thanks for the help!
