SOLVED: Live TV Fatal Error

Jellyfin throws up a message "Playback Error: Playback Failed due to a fatal player error." when trying to tune in live tv with HDHomerun.

I have tried both an HDHomerun Extend and an HDHomerun Connect 4K. Both recognized and channels show up in the channels tab of the live playback window.

Both tuners work 100% reliably in the native HDHomerun app and in a competing media server app the starts with the letter P.  Also streams are accessible via VLC.  

I have tried enabling and disabling hardware transcoding, deleting and reinstalling both tuners separately and together. I have given the server app all the permissions I can think it may ever need, and no configuration of settings has changed the error status.  No channels are playable in any way with either tuner, and none of the channels have DRM.  

My setup: 
Mac Studio M1Max running MacOS v.15.3 
HDHomerun Extend w/firmware 20230713
HDHomerun Connect 4K w/firmware 20241214
Jellyfin Server V.10.10.3 and V.10.10.6

Pk Playback failed due to a fatal player error. due  player error.

Edit to add: Just wanted to add that all other media from other sources play fine with minor bugs that I assume are unrelated to the live tv issue.

That did it.  I disabled IPv6 and now it works.  Ive been googling for a solution for months now and just couldn't find any combination of setting that would work and here you come, first reply, and it's fixed. Now I feel kinda stupid.  Had no idea that would mess it up. Thanks. I am I your debt.
