    Hello there,

Is there a way to adjust the timing of subtitles?

My wife and I are both in need of subtitles, but the timing is so far off as to be unusable.

I looked in settings and nothing jumped out at me.

    Thank you
    chris

    Check out MPV Shim: https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-mpv-shim

It has key binds that allows delaying subs and audio.

Otherwise if the client you want to use doesn't have such a feature, you'll need to get some subtitle editing software and edit the subs to match the video yourself, then remux the subs and the original file.

My player is a Sony Bravia TV. Prolly not going to be able to use jellyfin-mpv-shim.

Seems odd that there is no way of managing this in Jellyfin.

I'm assuming you're using the Open Subtitles plugin. Do you have it set to only use perfect matches?

    Actually, I'm not.

I installed it, and registered with OpenTitles.Org

Opening settings, I don't see a setting for "Use Perfect Matches"

    Thanks

In the library settings in Jellyfin there is a setting, only if you have the opensubtitles plugin installed, to only get subtitles that are a perfect match for your media.  This CAN result in it not getting subtitles if a perfect match isn't available.

    Thank you.

    That's much better.
