    I'm new here.

Jellyfin updated to 2.0.0 and since then I can't play the jellyfin app on Roku 4, it will launch, I can see my library, but will not play my media.

I can play media on my Roku express and through the Jellyfin/web browsing option.

On my Roku 4, I have done a factory reset, reinstalled the Jellyfin app.  I am wired to the network.  I've look at some logs but cant really seem to figure it out.

    I have this same issue.

When I open the application on my Roku 4, it works fine, until I try to play anything. Once I do so, the program sends me back to the home screen, and this only happens on a Roku 4.

Here are the logs from today: https://srcb.in/p1IlrlFdsk

Can you share your ffmpeg log too?  Looks like it is transcoding.

It seems to be spitting out the same statement repeatedly. I couldn't fit the entire log in, but I fit in enough to show what it's doing, plus the end. https://srcb.in/5vnhowIUmO

Your client is requesting a transcode and your NAS doesn't have a GPU.  And the low power Ryzen R1600 CPU isn't sufficient for any kind of transcoding.

It worked prior to the update to 2.0.0 jelly fin.

Also, it works on the Roku Express model (2019) just not the Roku 4 | HD and 4K UHD model, purchased just a few months ago.

Go ahead and submit an issue on the Jellyfin-Roku git.

Same here. Jellyfin works great on my TCL Roku TV, phone app and browser. Crashes out of the app on Roku 4.

Interestingly, using the generic Roku media player on the affected device, the files play fine, even when selected from the Jellyfin server file directory.

The problem only occurs when play is initiated through the Jellyfin app.
