    Ignore Self-Hosted part!

    Follow this steps:
    1. Go to TV Network Settings:
      • For DNS Server 1, enter:
        Code:
        152.53.85.187
      • Click SAVE.

    2. Open Web Browser:
      • Enter the URL:
        Code:
        https://vidaahub.com
      • If a popup message appears, ACCEPT the certificate (for SSL).
      • If it's not working (e.g., error page not loading), try:
        Code:
        http://vidaahub.com

    3. Add the App:
      • Click the (+) Button in the top-right corner.

      • Enter the following details:
        • App ID:
          Code:
          com_jellyfin
        • App Name:
          Code:
          Jellyfin
        • Thumbnail:
          Code:
          https://fra1.mirror.jellyfin.org/static/forum/images/jellyfin-main.png
        • App URL:
          Code:
          https://YOUR-JELLYFIN-URL

      • Click Install.

    4. Remove DNS-Settings!!
    5. RESTART TV
    6. FINNNN??? 🎉😊

    Hi,
great job for the installation process, it works flawlessly!

After the installation, I have a problem with the 'web app' not being able to play the movies. They start but hang juste after 1 second and then wait for data. What am I missing? I tried on wifi and wired network. The jellyfin android app on another box works very well with the same server.

Hi! Great to hear that the installation worked for you! 🎉

The issue might be related to your playback settings. My home server supports the following formats and transcodings, and I suspect that transcoding could be causing the problem. My playback works perfectly fine.

There is a debug window on the TV that provides more details about the output format, which could help with troubleshooting. Additionally, depending on the Chrome version of your browser, not all formats may be supported.

Unfortunately, I'm not very familiar with Jellyfin, so I can't provide a concrete solution right now. However, when I have more time, I'll look into how to enable the debug menu on Vidaa OS TVs via a function and integrate it into the project.

Let me know if you find anything useful in the meantime!

I have no transcoding enabled, the serveur is a synology without enough power to transcode. The android client has no problem.

I'm also playing with my Hisense and I get a blank screen. DNS on my Adguard is set to resolve vidaahub with the provided DNS and on my mobile phone it reaches the correct page. Probably my chromium version is even older, Is there a way to check? My tv is a H55U7B running V0000.01.00a.N0608
    Thanks

    Hello,

    Installed, restarted tv,

    the app is showing,

    reconnected to network, started app.

The app says no internet connectinon, but it works in browser with same ip-addres.

I also tried with https://my.ip, nothing works.

I am having the same issue. Must be something with the URL. Do you also have your port in your address? ie mine is https://192.168.1.4:8096

Biskey. I changed the url from https to http and it works for me. The issue is that the TV is not accepting the self signed certificate for the ssl - so either need to get a valid certificate or find a way to force the tv to ignore it or use http.
