    Hi all,

Seeking some guidance as I can't figure this one out.  Thank you in advance for your help and support!

    Specs: Mac mini, 2018, intel; 3 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5; Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB; 8 GB 2667 MHz DDR4; 14.5 Sonoma

    Part 1
    1. Intended to be a simple end of day update like many times before from 10.9.3 to 10.9.7.
    2. Shutdown the server (app), closed the app.
    3. Download 10.9.7    MacOS Server    .dmg
    4. Drag to install folder
    5. Re-open app
    6. Error ""Jellyfin Server was unable to start underlying Jellyfin process"

    Part 2 - "Hmm that didn't take"
    • Delete app
    • Reinstall
    • Same error.

Part 3 - So its come to this...
    • Delete the folder ~/.config/jellyfin/
    • Backup then Delete the folder ~/.local/share/jellyfin/
    • Delete the app
    • Downgrade back to 10.9.3
    • Same error.

    Current status
    • The app will open in the top right icons and show the popup error.
    • While I can click on the logs button - there's nothing there.
    • Nothing has been populated in ~/.local/share/jellyfin/  or ~/.config/jellyfin/
    • Safari can't connect to http://localhost:8096

    Questions - Tell me like I'm a 5yo
    1. How do I fix this?
    2. Are there files somewhere else that need to be deleted for a clean re-install?
    3. If I create a new user on the OS, delete the old one, and install would that fix it?

    Log
Below/attached is the log following the first failed install.  I am no longer able to generate a new log.

Maybe deactivate whatever this is and give it a whirl.
    Code:
    Emby.Server.Implementations.Updates.InstallationManager: Failed to deserialize the
    plugin manifest retrieved from "https://github.com/adultmm/AdultMediaManager.git"
System.Text.Json.JsonException: '<' is an invalid start of a value. Path: $ | LineNumber:
    7 | BytePositionInLine: 0.
---> System.Text.Json.JsonReaderException: '<' is an invalid start of a value.
    LineNumber: 7 | BytePositionInLine: 0.

Remove that plugin. I think you can just pull that plugin folder out of the plugin directory.

    Hi,

Thank you for offering a solution. I had pulled all the plugins prior to trying to reinstall. I have searched the system again and can not find the plugin mentioned.

    Same error continues.

    Still looking for options.

I think the problem isn't the plugin. Its the plugin repo.

Go to /etc/jellyfin/system.xml and remove the lines associated with that plugin repo.

Or, do it from the GUI. It looks like Jellyfin is starting up and running. Dashboard > Plugins > Repositories.
